Solutions with Simulia Abaqus

In 2009 I began using the FEM Software “Abaqus” at a research institute in Leoben, Austria (www.mcl.at). Subsequently, I started developing scripts and plugins for different category groups. Later on, I started automating 2D deformations on “Abaqus standard”...

In the last four years, I utilized my experience and developed the following programs:

  • A 2D re-meshing algorithm
  • Various scripts for analyzing odb files
  • Scripts to improve workflow
  • Various plugins (UI/command line)
  • Analysis procedures for parametric studies

I spent a large part of my time involved with fracture mechanics, like crack propagation in coatings.

In 2012, I was given the opportunity to work in the support division of Sumulia Abaqus. With colleague support, I greatly improved during this time (www.3ds.com)

At this current time, I would not consider myself an expert programmer. For me it’s more like playing with LEGO. I start with easy tasks, and after a short period of time, the tremendous improvements become evident. The best part of this process is that for me it is a lot of fun. If you ever need support with any Abaqus based problem, I would be love to help out, and I always deal in a fair and professional manner with any inquiry.
